The next section includes a partial listing of transaction related engagements on which the principals of Insight have worked directly with the buyer/investor or seller/sponsor, either since their creation of Insight or in their prior roles generally as leaders in the real estate, financial services or transaction advisory services groups at Andersen. The engagement size ranged from several million dollar private transactions to multi-billion dollar domestic and cross-border high profile public transactions. These have included US inbound and outbound investments. The engagements represent a mix of strategic and financial entities with very varied strategies and unique circumstances operating in many industries with varied operating structures.
The assignments have been quite varied. In some cases there were only one or two professionals involved, whereas in others there were up to 200 professionals involved. In some cases the associated professionals were employed by Andersen or Insight while in others, they managed professionals from third parties on behalf of their mutual client.
Scope of services varied from narrow identified issues to, more typically, a broad based effort coordinating multiple disciplines, often including client or third party personnel, to ensure that a "holistic" analysis was undertaken incorporating various technical and operating matters. In this fashion a comprehensive view is developed which often highlights financial and operational risks and opportunities that are broader than any more technical financial or transaction structure issues.
